Indigenous Land Stewardship and Farming Practices

This was the 4th assignment in the “Whose Land, For What Purposes?” 9th grade World History unit. Students define “Indigenous” and “Land Stewardship.” Then they conduct a preliminary photo exploration analysis. I used this assignment as a jumping off point for a discussion on the differences in farming techniques. See the full student handout here.
