Title
Kimora’s Climate Story
Name
Kimora Jackson
Place
Philadelphia, United States
How are you sensing climate change?
I haven’t noticed climate change happening around me. Even slight changes that I did notice, I chalked up as normally mother nature behavior. I always looked forward to the snowfall in the winter. Every year in the winter, from what I can remember, it snowed. I remember that it started getting colder in the fall, that was always my way of telling that the seasons were changing. But this year it’s been pretty warm recently, and October is normally pretty chilly. I don’t remember the temperature ever being in the 70s during the fall. I hope the temperature starts to go down to more normal October temperatures. If the temperature keeps rising, there won’t be any snow this year or in years to come. If or when that happens, that’s when I think it will start to notice climate change. The thought of it kind of scares me; just knowing that something like this is possible is horrifying.
How do these changes make you feel?
These changes make me feel scared. It’s horrifying to know that the world may become uninhabitable due to climate change.
