How are you sensing climate change?
I was born in France but barely ever lived there. However every winter I go back there to celebrate Christmas with my family. I have many memories of celebrating Christmas in the snow, in what is one of the coldest part of France, in the Jura mountains. These last few years, snow has been more and more elusive, usually only falling later in the winter, long after Christmas, and usually only lasting for a few days, a few weeks at most. It has been a long time since I’ve had a ‘White Christmas’.
How do these changes make you feel?
Some days I feel like this great challenge is a great opportunity. Having been in the Climate field for a few years now I feel great hope based on all the changes I see happening, and all the people I’ve been meeting. But some days I feel I live in a bubble outside of which people don’t care about climate and the environment, and whatever me and my peers do, this planet is doomed.
